Nano Banana 2
The go-to model for most tasks — posts, illustrations, images with crisp in-image text, up to 14 reference images per request
About the model
Nano Banana 2 is the updated version of the core model, built on the Gemini 3.1 Flash Image architecture. It pairs high speed with professional quality, supports resolutions up to 4K, and handles non-standard aspect ratios that are especially useful for ad formats: 4:1, 1:4, 8:1.
Unlike the first version, Nano Banana 2 works with far more reference images — up to 14 per request. That lets you fine-tune style and composition, especially when you need a consistent visual language across a series of illustrations or shots of the same character in different scenes.
The model is also great at photo work: trying on hairstyles and outfits, restyling, merging several photos into one, and creating stylized avatars — all while keeping the original features natural and recognizable.
