Nano Banana
The base model for drafts, sketches, and quick edits — when you need lots of iterations
About the model
Nano Banana is built on the lightweight Gemini 2.5 Flash Image architecture and optimized for high-volume work: quick previews, illustration series, instant edits. Each generation uses a minimal number of tokens, so you can iterate a lot without noticeable cost.
Beyond generating from scratch, Nano Banana also works in editing mode: upload a source image and the model makes changes while preserving the key composition — swapping the background, adding or removing objects, changing a character’s outfit. That’s handy for producing repeatable product cards or illustration series in one style.
If your task demands top-tier quality or 2–4K resolution, consider Nano Banana Pro — the extended version of the same family with more detail and tighter adherence to complex prompts.
